Dr. Kathleen Receveur is a passionate educator who works to ensure all students have the opportunity to share their knowledge in an innovative way through technology. She currently works for Jefferson County Public Schools as a Technology Specialist. Through this role, she supports school administrators across the district to ensure success with their school’s Everyone:1 plan while helping to build a network of innovative teacher leaders that will drive technological change in JCPS, providing an equitable learning experience for all students.

Kathleen taught in the west end of Louisville at Wheatley Elementary for 11 years. While teaching kindergarten and first grade, she grew a passion for igniting student’s interest in literacy by incorporating technology. That led her to lead the technology transformation at the school and become the STEM lab teacher and School Technology Coordinator. She has presented at the state and national level on the integration of technology in primary classrooms and hosted several statewide education technology conferences.

Along with her BA in Science, Dr. Receveur holds a reading specialist degree from Indiana University, an Ed.S, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of the Cumberlands.
